Call for Papers: "H073. Advancing Drought Monitoring and Prediction with Applications to Decision Making" at AGU (USA)
Please consider submitting an abstract to AGU session "H073. Advancing Drought Monitoring and Prediction with Applications to Decision Making"
"This session seeks contributions that address drought monitoring and
prediction, with an emphasis on seasonal drought. Studies that highlight
advances in observational and modeling capabilities (e.g. using land
surface models, remote sensing, reanalysis and analysis data sets)
leading to improved precipitation, soil moisture, and stream flow
monitoring and prediction at seasonal scale are highly encouraged. For
example, submissions from NOAA drought task force are of particular
interest. Also relevant are studies that advance our understanding of
drought, as well as those that address metrics for evaluating drought
monitoring and prediction skill and applications of drought monitoring
and prediction tools to decision making." Conveners: (1) Siegfried D
Schubert NASA/GSFC <siegfried.d.schubert@nasa.gov> (2) Annarita Mariotti
NOAA annarita.mariotti@noaa.gov (3) Bart Nijssen University of

The deadline for abstract submissions is 8 August 23:59 EDT/03:59 +1 GMT.
Please feel free to forward this to your colleagues or students who
