Session U 10 - Rethinking Integrated Assessments and Management Projects in the Americas
Session U 10 - Rethinking Integrated Assessments and Management Projects in the Americas
Sponsor: Union
Session Description:
Science and management agencies have invested substantially in interdisciplinary integrated assessment and management projects to address climate threats to water supplies, populations and environments in the Americas. It is time to illustrate and evaluate the efficacy of the core scientist-practitioner research partnerships of these projects and their effectiveness in targeting solutions and enhancing information exchange. Abstracts could address: co-development of science; decision support for environmental challenges; vulnerability to climate change; challenges to resource management posed by governance structures.
This is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate work in climate services, decision support, adaptation to climate variability and change, hazard vulnerability analyses, applied climatology, and many other topics and fields of endeavor.
Conveners
