The Atmospheric Sciences Program and the Department of Geological and Mining Engineering and Sciences at Michigan Technological University invites applications for a postdoctoral research fellow in atmospheric chemistry. The position will involve investigating the interactions among climate, atmospheric chemistry and air quality, land use and land cover. The successful applicant will also have the opportunity to work on various projects such as studies of the impacts of anthropogenic and wildfire emissions on atmospheric composition in rural and remote regions, including field measurements in the Azores and Greenland. The position is available immediately and start date can be arranged with flexibility. The position requires a Ph.D. in Atmospheric Sciences or related fields. Experience in numerical modeling and programming with Fortran, IDL, or other visualization software is highly desirable.
Experience with data analysis of in-situ measurements is a plus. Michigan Tech (Houghton, MI) is located in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, a pristine area on the south shore of Lake Superior.

Interested candidates should send their curriculum vitae, a brief statement of research experience and interests, and contact information for three references (preferably as a single PDF file) to Dr. Shiliang Wu (slwu@mtu.edu).
