Question: Teaching materials for social science course in "Climate & Society"

Last modified August 27, 2010 07:56

I will be teaching the core social science course in a master's program in Climate and Society. I would like to include films, videos and video clips that address climate issues, particularly at the level of individuals, households, communities, organizations, as they face climate variability (El Nino, extreme weather events) and climate change.

I will be teaching the core social science course in a master's program in Climate and Society. I would like to include films, videos and video clips that address climate issues, particularly at the level of individuals, households, communities, organizations, as they face climate variability (El Nino, extreme weather events) and climate change. These could come from developed or developing countries. Please send any suggestions to <bso5@columbia.edu>.

There are plenty of resources on the natural science side, and that explain the links between greenhouse gas emissions, changing climate and impacts.

It's the human dimensions side--perception and response especially--that I'm interested in.

To learn more about the program, you could check <http://www.columbia.edu/cu/climatesociety/program.html>. And if you have any undergraduate students who might be interested in attending the program, have them get in touch with me.
